Privacy Policy
Last Updated: August 5, 2026
Effective Date: August 5, 2026
1. Introduction and Scope
CCTik ("we," "our," or "us") provides the CCTik website at CCTik.com and the CCTik mobile application (together, the "Services"). This Privacy Policy explains what information is processed when you use the Services, why it is processed, the parties involved, and the choices available to you.
CCTik is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to TikTok, ByteDance Ltd., or any supported third-party platform. YouTube links are not supported by the CCTik App.
2. Information Processed
2.1 Links and Media Requests
When you actively submit a publicly accessible media link, that link is sent temporarily to CCTik's parsing infrastructure and the relevant third-party platform so the requested media information can be identified and returned. We use submitted links to provide the feature, maintain security, diagnose failures, and prevent abuse. Do not submit private, restricted, or unauthorized content.
In the App, saved history, collections, favorites, and downloaded media files are stored locally on your device and are not automatically uploaded to CCTik's servers. If you use the system share sheet, the destination and information shared are chosen by you and handled by the selected app or service under its own privacy terms.
2.2 Website Technical Data and Cookies
When you visit the website, servers and security infrastructure may process request and log data such as your IP address, approximate location inferred from IP, browser type, device and operating-system information, requested URL, referral information, and the date and time of the request. We use this information to deliver and secure the website, troubleshoot errors, limit abuse, and understand aggregate service performance.
The website may use essential cookies needed for operation and, where permitted, analytics, preference, or advertising cookies and similar technologies. Browser settings can block or remove cookies, although some website features may then work differently. Where applicable, a consent interface provides additional choices before non-essential technologies are used.
2.3 Mobile App Advertising and Consent Data
For users without verified Pro access, the App uses Google AdMob to provide advertising and Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to collect and store applicable advertising privacy choices. Depending on your choices, region, device settings, and Google's configuration, Google may process IP-derived approximate location, app interactions, diagnostic information, device identifiers, and advertising identifiers to serve or measure ads, limit frequency, detect fraud, and report performance.
The App waits until UMP reports that advertising requests are allowed, including completion of any consent flow required for that user, before requesting an ad. You can revisit available choices through the App's Privacy Choices control when UMP requires it. While verified Pro access is active, the App does not request or display AdMob ads.
2.4 Purchases and Subscriptions
Apple App Store or Google Play processes your payment. RevenueCat helps CCTik validate and restore purchases and synchronize Pro access. These providers may process an anonymous App User ID, product identifiers, transaction and subscription status, purchase timestamps, store environment, and limited device or technical information needed for purchase and entitlement management. CCTik does not receive your full payment-card or bank-account details.
2.5 Support Communications
If you contact us, we process the email address, message content, attachments, and related correspondence you choose to provide so we can respond and maintain an appropriate support record.
3. Permissions and Information We Do Not Request
- The App does not request camera, microphone, contacts, or biometric permissions.
- On Android, the App stores downloads in its app-specific sandbox and does not request broad storage access or whole-library photo and video permissions.
- CCTik does not request precise location. Advertising or infrastructure providers may infer an approximate location from an IP address as described above.
- We do not sell or rent personal information to third parties.
4. How Information Is Used
- Provide link recognition, media previews, downloads, organization, and sharing.
- Validate purchases, restore access, and manage subscription entitlements.
- Provide and measure ads where allowed for users without verified Pro access.
- Remember and apply privacy choices.
- Operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the Services.
- Respond to support requests and comply with applicable legal obligations.
5. Sharing and Service Providers
Information is shared only as needed with:
- Google AdMob and UMP for advertising, measurement, fraud prevention, and privacy-choice management;
- RevenueCat and Apple App Store or Google Play for payment processing, purchase validation, subscription status, restoration, and Pro entitlement management;
- hosting, content-delivery, security, and media-parsing providers needed to operate the Services;
- authorities or other parties when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect the rights, safety, integrity, or security of CCTik, its users, or others; and
- a successor in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or asset transfer.
These providers process information under their own terms and privacy policies and may process it in countries other than yours.
6. Retention, Security, and International Processing
Local App history, collections, favorites, and downloaded files remain until you remove them in the App, clear the App's storage, or uninstall the App. Submitted links and operational logs are retained only as long as reasonably needed to provide and secure the requested service, investigate errors or abuse, and meet legal obligations. Support records are retained while needed to resolve the request and maintain necessary business records.
RevenueCat and the app stores retain purchase and subscription records according to their policies. Some store, transaction, fraud-prevention, tax, accounting, or legal records may need to be retained after a deletion request. We and our providers may process information in other countries, using safeguards required by applicable law.
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including protected access and encryption in transit where supported. No transmission or storage method is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
7. Your Choices, Access, and Deletion
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or obtain a portable copy of personal information, and to withdraw consent where consent is the legal basis. You may also manage subscription cancellation in the Apple App Store or Google Play account used for purchase.
CCTik App data-deletion steps
- Delete individual history items, favorites, collections, and downloaded media using the controls provided in the CCTik App.
- To remove all locally stored CCTik App data, use your device's app-storage controls to clear CCTik data or uninstall the App. Back up anything you want to keep first.
- To request deletion of CCTik-controlled server or purchase-association data, email cs@cctik.com with the App name (CCTik), your platform (Android or iOS), the data you want deleted, and your anonymous App User ID if it is available in the App or support details. Do not send payment-card details.
- We will verify and process the request within a reasonable period and explain if limited information must be retained for store reconciliation, fraud prevention, tax, accounting, dispute resolution, or another legal obligation. App-store payment records may require a separate request to Apple or Google.
8. Children's Privacy
The Services are not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the Services or applicable requirements change. We will post the updated policy here, revise the date above, and provide additional notice when required by law.
10. Contact Us
